History

A superhero in the form of a common airline pursuer, Rippan Kapur, had a dream, a dream to see a country free of suffering children, free of discrimination and free of deprivation. The founder of Child Rights and You started the organization with a group of 7 friends and a total of $0.50 (25 rupees)! He wanted the organization to be a liaison between people with resources and CRY volunteers. Now, Child Rights and You is a huge non-profit organization aimed to restore children's rights: survival, development, protection, and participation.

CRY at Texas A&M University is a chapter of CRY, America. It was founded in 2003, by a group of graduate students majoring in Engineering. Years of success have brought well-deserved success to the CRY TAMU chapter and within six months, the team organized two fundraisers successfully. In spring 2011, CRY transitioned to undergraduate students who are currently continuing to carry Rippan's dream forward
